As sole representatives in Uruguay of the Brazilian company Fitesa, we have expanded our field of activity including also the agricultural industry, introducing the Novotex Agro line; an innovative alternative for producers.

This agro textile, made 100% of polypropylene, protects crops from ultra violet radiation, is permeable to air circulation, ventilation and to water.

Novotex Agro Floating Cover protects crops from environmental factors as frost, heavy rains and extreme temperatures, as it works as a physical barrier, generating a favorable microclimate, ideal for the plants’ growth, while at the same time it keeps them isolated from their natural enemies such as insects, fungi and bacteria. It can be placed directly over the plants like a floating cover and lifted as they grow, but is also available as protective wrapping such as bags and hoods to fit different fruit.






Novotex Agro Mulching offers a double benefit to the producer, as for one it prevents weed growth, thus making the contaminating use of herbicides unnecessary, as well as the costly mechanical labor involved, and also acts as a substrate isolation blanket, avoiding direct contact between plant and soil, while being permeable to rainfall and irrigation by aspersion, which prevents salts from concentrating in the soil and also extreme temperatures during summertime.

Novotex Agro Ribbons are used for fixing trees to a stake or pole during the first years of their life. Given their texture and flexibility, damage through friction to the tree is avoided and an excellent securing of the knot, as well as a longer durability is guaranteed.
